The holder of an engineering degree from Ecole Spéciale des Travaux Publics, Eric Ranjard began his professional career as a project engineer, Expansion director at SEGECE (Société d’Etudes et de Gestion de Centres d’Equipement), an operator and manager of commercial sites and a subsidiary of Compagnie Bancaire. He became Chairman and Chief Executive of SEGECE Promotion in 1992, then Vice Chief Executive of SEGECE in 1994. In 1997, he held the position of the Vice Chairman and Chief Executive of SEGECE in the PARIBAS group.
In 1998, he became a member of the Executive Board of KLEPIERRE, a real estate company of PARIBAS, and parent company of SEGECE, before taking the chairmanship of SEGECE, a subsidiary of KLEPIERRE and the BNP PARIBAS group. In 2001, he became Chairman of SEGECE’s foreign subsidiaries. He was appointed Vice-Chairman of the Executive Board of KLEPIERRE in 2003. In 2006 and 2007, he chaired the Supervisory Board of SEGECE and its subsidiaries.
Since 2008, he has held the position of Chairman of UNIBAIL RODAMCO Participations.
Eric Ranjard has also been Chairman of the National Council of Shopping Centres since 2003 and Chairman of the Jury des Janus du Commerce (French Institute of Design) since 2005. He is a knight of the National Order of Merit and was made a knight of the National Order of the Légion d’Honneur, in the honours list of 31 December 2010.
